ESHS Subjects Offered
Choosing subjects is not always an easy task, sometimes it isn’t clear what subjects are needed for particular career pathways.
Take a moment to look at your future goals. Check if there are recommended subjects for your future goal. If you don’t have any, decide what they will be. Don’t just do a subject because your friends are. You are your own individual.
Choose subjects that offer a (reasonable) challenge. If subjects are too easy for you, you may get bored and lack motivation. If they are too hard, you may get frustrated or overwhelmed and may not understand the material well enough to succeed. Take classes that offer you a challenge you are willing to take. Look at previous report cards as a guide on subjects with past success.
Don’t get too excited picking subjects that you forget the ones that are required for you to take! Select your required subjects first so that you know how many other choices you can still make. Make a list of all the subjects you want to do, and narrow it down. Remember to select a course with multiple future options.
Consult your parents, you should make sure your parents approve and support your selected classes and career path.
If you are unsure talk to your teachers – particularly those who teach the subjects you are interested in.
